The Pastor is Rev. Rick Carroll. After his retirement in 2008, Rick and his wife, Janet, chose to move to Cedar Park where they enjoy family times with children and grandchildren who live in nearby cities.
Rick’s varied work history has made good use of several talents and skills. Prior to retirement, he served as the pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Uvalde for four years. Previous ventures included serving on staff at Brenham State School for 20 years, teaching part-time at Blinn College, and teaching school in the Galveston area for several years.
The Session finds that Rick has a strong love for Jesus Christ and His church. He is ready to share with the Genesis family a reformed emphasis grounded in scripture, prayer, worship, spiritual development, education, mission, stewardship, service, and ministries. Rick brings many gifted skills and ideas. He is very outgoing and willing to converse with you on any level, and also has a great sense of humor.
